Rachael Edginton, Managing Director

Rachael has nearly 20 years experience as a journalist and corporate affairs specialist, and as custodian of some of Australia’s most trusted organisations and brands.  In her career Rachael has managed the communication function for both government and corporate organisations and for public/private Alliances.

Notably, Rachael launched the Victorian Government’s Our Water Our Future campaign, setting in motion one of the most successful social change campaigns in Victoria.

A talented communication strategist, Rachael is also an energetic practitioner with her sights set squarely on results. Her ability to cut-through complex issues with practical and achievable communication solutions has helped many organisations realise their business, stakeholder and community goals.

Lisa Bowman, Director

Lisa Bowman is a qualified journalist and communication professional with a wealth of experience in corporate communications in the logistics and IT industry. During her 20 year career Lisa’s client list includes ASX-listed mining companies, government,environment and private sector companies.

She has managed large social change campaigns for the Federal government and most recently headed up the FutureFlow Alliance’s stakeholder and communications team based in Shepparton. She has also overseen controversial environmental campaigns on behalf of the Department of Sustainability and Environment.

Lisa is a highly experienced communication and stakeholder expert who works closely with clients to understand their requirements and project challenges.

Cara Spencer, Executive Manager, PLUM Communication

Cara Spencer, Executive Manager

Cara is a highly experienced, senior corporate communicator with a background in government and community organisations. Qualified in public relations, leadership and management, she has held executive and senior management roles in some of Australia’s leading charities and service providers.

Cara has been responsible for managing multiple service brands, diverse teams and executing national PR campaigns on behalf of government, such as Living Is for Everyone – the National Suicide Prevention Strategy. Her strong leadership skills have been instrumental in building and mentoring high preforming teams of marketing and communication professionals.

Previously a professional fundraising consultant, Cara has a strong interest in community engagement to elicit social change. An experienced project manager, she is committed to strategic planning and consultation. As a generalist she has a broad range of skills, from professional writing and the creative process, to internal and external communication, social media, online communication, media relations, marketing, event management and business development. Cara is passionate about public health and policy, after dedicating several years working in public affairs within the health sector. She has a flair for event management and has managed the production of some of Victoria’s largest festival, and a number of corporate and community events.

Cara is currently responsible for supporting PLUM's people and PLUM's most valued clients to effectively work in partnership to achieve excellent outcomes on every project. Cara supports our clients to find the perfect consultants to fulfill of their communication needs, while she mentors and manages our consultants to reach their professional goals.
